Every day, it seems, we get yet another story (all too often involving Dodik, of course) illustrating how flawed the current partition--and let's be honest, that's what it is--of Bosnia is in both theory and practice.

Yes, the entities must go.

I have never seen my country in such hard situation, but I guess I can understand your feelings. This must be very heartbreaking.

@ William Jensen

I disagree with you on the subject of genocide. I believe it is genocide Israel is committing, not just now put for the last 50 years.
Genecide is only one of the crimes. Persecution, oppression, stripping away basic human rights are others worth mentioning.

It's not your vision. You fail to see an argument because there wasn't any (much like your own post - Israel doesn't commit genocide, because we'd see thousands of bodies piling up if they did. What kind of an argument ís that?).
I didn't answer you, because you already recieved an answer (from someone else) on Helen Latifi's blog, and yet you still just copy/pasted the same post on another blog.
What point is there in arguing if you're just copy pasting the same thing all over the internet and not actually participate in a debate? Debating is a two way street.

It makes me wonder how many times you posted the same thing. Not that I care, I just would prefer not to engage in a debate with you when you clearly are not interested. :)

Have a nice day
NH

PS. Sorry for the bad mood. I woke up at 1 and couldn't get to sleep again - properly that is.

@ amilia:

@ nh: If you have an argument in your comment to my post, then I fail to see it.

About the soldiers, I've only seen some Slovenian EUFOR soldiers in Sarajevo. In Mostar I saw German soldiers. They were acting all good, without any kind of trouble, but I guess that there are always some stupid people in some branches. Sadly there aint much anyone can do about it. As long as there is Republika Srpska and the Federation in this construction no progress can be made. I remember from 2007, when I was reading in Dnevni Avaz that they were talking about the plan for unification of the police between the two entities and according to my knowledge, they are still independent of eachother. The entities must go! That way the OHR will leave and take all his EUFOR soldiers with him. That is the freedom BiH needs - certaintly not the thing BiH has today.

@ William Jensen

Copy/paste, copy/paste, copy/paste

Who mentioned Muslims? We're talking about Palestinians.

@ Kristian

1. Hamas exists only because the Palestinian people have been opressed and persecuted. Lift the siege, give them back their land and Hamas' sole purpose of existance vanishes. Simplified of course.
My point is that it is wrong to call Hamas the aggressors, since the organization has been born out of Israeli aggression.
Nonetheless I do agree with you that Hamas shouldn't have launched any rockets, but we must keep in mind that the Palestinians in Gaza are living the world's largest concentration camp. That's a dangerous recipe for violent resistance.

2. I doubt that there really is a statistic out yet on who the casualties are. Perhaps you have some secret omniscent source you'd like to share with us?
Have you considered the thousands of people who face early deaths, diseases, malnutrition etc. in your numbers?

3. I agree. Don't mix politics with religious fanaticism. This goes for Hamas aswell as zionist movements within Israel.

I completely agree with your last sentence.

Have a nice day.

@William: Og derfor har Israel ret til at begå folkedrab? Det mener jeg ikke.

@Kristian: It can be discussed whether Hamas or Israel broke the ceasefire. But even if it was Hamas, how is that an excuse to carpet bomb one of the most densely populated areas in the world?

1. Hamas broke the cease-fire and bombed Israel first and is therefore responsible for the new violence between Israel and Gaza!

2. A majority of the casualties suffered in Gaza are not civilians (although the suffering of the civilian population in Gaza should not be taken lightly).

3. Don't mix politics and religious fanaticism. Hamas needs to loose its influence on all levels before a peaceful and constructive two-state solution can be reached between Israel and Gaza (and the West Bank).

The civil population of both parties deserve peace and prosperity.
